NO AGREEMENT ON CONTRACT

National negotiations ended on May 27, 2015 without an agreement on a new contract for APWU represented employees.  The dispute will now go through the mediation process and then to interest arbitration if needed.   Mediation is expected to last 60 days and if the arbitration process happens it could be up to a year before there is a new collective bargaining agreement.

Tell Governor Nixon to Veto Right to Work

Conservative extremists in the Missouri Legislature recently passed a so-called “right to work” bill. This bill will cut our wages and benefits, weaken workplace safety laws and take away our voice on the job. It's the wrong priority for our state. Missouri Gov. Jay Nixon (D) has said he plans to veto this legislation. We need to make sure he follows through on his promise.

Boy was Friday May 22 a beautiful day.  The sun was shining, the birds were singing, and Local #10 had 23 teams of 4 playing golf at the Glen Dale Golf Club.  There were alot of new faces playing this year.  It was good to see everyone.  There were alot of guys and girls out there trying to show up the defending winners of last year, but it was not to be.
